Paisley Music Roundup 12 by Tommy McGrory
Welcome to Tommy McGrory’s Paisley Music Roundup 12, looking ahead at gigs in the town from Friday night.
Tonight The Keg are having a special night of music to remember local Paisley musician known as Delta Gordy. Gordy sadly passed away recently. He was a well known face around Paisley either attending gigs, fundraisers and playing at open mic nights. His funeral is today and everyone who loved him will be at The Keg tonight singing songs and playing music in a tribute to Gordy and it is just what he would have wanted.
Heather and Trevor of The Keg said “Sad news for The Keg and the music scene in general. We have lost one of life’s ultimate gentlemen”. Graeme Kerr will be hosting and it starts at 9pm. Tomorrow night MrdB also known as ‘The Rock Gawds’ are back and they kick off at 9pm.

Space have sold over 5 million records worldwide with album titles including Spiders, Tin Planet Suburban Rock and Roll and Attack of the Mutant 50ft Kebab along with ten top 40 singles and a host of other single releases to-date with titles including Neighbourhood and Female of the Species. The band continues to write gritty edgy pop songs that captive the imagination of the listener. Doors open 7.30pm and there are limited tickets at the door.
Tomorrow afternoon, two fantastic bands will be paying and it looks to be a busy one. Not one but two floor fillers on the same bill and it starts with Shout. Shout have added a new brass section to the line up and things just seem to get better for them.
