Connected Chiropractic: keeping people moving

on 4 July 2025 0

Katie Graham at Connected Chiropractic talks about her business and forever relishing the help and support she and her team can give to their patients

Living with discomfort that affects your daily movement and activity can be challenging. When traditional approaches may not have provided the outcome you seek, exploring evidence-based care options becomes important.

Many people find that consulting regulated healthcare professionals who specialise in musculoskeletal conditions can help them better understand and address their concerns through appropriate assessment and care recommendations.

A thorough examination and discussion of treatment options, including their benefits and limitations, can help create a clearer path toward managing these challenges effectively. Chiropractic care is as simple as that.

For Katie Graham, her origins in chiropractic came after doing a degree in physiology and sports science. “I knew I wanted to help people, but didn’t know how,” she recalled. “That led to going to spend a day with my dad’s chiropractor in Edinburgh. He instantly made me think ‘this is what I’m doing.’ It was a bit of a whim as I hadn’t even been adjusted at that time, but it just seemed like the way for me to help people. Thankfully, I immediately loved it and I still do.

Intent on pursuing this dream, she headed to the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic at The University Of South Wales, Yet even after excelling in her studies, Katie insisted that everything is theoretical until you’re really in the field and it was right here in Paisley where she honed her expertise. Katie took over Fullarton Chiropractic in 2018 and rebranded to Connected Chiropractic in 2020.

Nine and a half years into her journey, Katie’s philosophy on what she does is clear and it all resides in doing what she can for her patient’s own, unique health goals.

“It’s a simple way to help people with pain, it just makes sense to work with the body rather than against it,” Katie opined. “There’s always critical thinking in treating pain like a fire alarm and working out why someone may be experiencing it. The human body is complex so care and time must be taken to work with each person as a whole.”

Although Katie and her team are adept at tackling any problem presented to them, she has undertaken extra study in paediatric care, focusing on children and pregnancy.

“After having my own son Arthur, I realised children and pregnant women are both very important populations to help with musculoskeletal health. I have people seeking me out for this now, which is great and very rewarding. In addition, one thing people might know about the practice is that we also offer massage therapies which ease tension, improve sleep and relaxation or even improve circulation and mobility.

“Tommy-Lee joined the Connected Chiropractic family in 2022, bringing his evidence-based approach and patient-centred philosophy to our team,” Katie continued. “He also completed his training at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic where he was acknowledged for his enthusiasm towards the chiropractic profession.

“Tommy-Lee’s careful attention to detail during patient consultations and his focus on clear communication have made him a valued member of our chiropractic team. The clinic has also reached a wonderful milestone with the addition of Natalie to our team of healthcare professionals.

“Natalie has hit the ground running and is proving to be the perfect addition to our team. We’re particularly pleased to now offer services to the Stewarton community in Ayrshire through our new location. This expansion has enabled us to welcome more patients seeking chiropractic care, and we’re grateful for the trust our growing communities in both Renfrewshire and Ayrshire have placed in us.

“I’m always amazed by the difference we can make in people’s lives,” Katie concludes, “that buzz never wears off.”
