on 1 July 2024 0

Following an ongoing battle with a chronic ailment, Dave McKenna of Kickin’ On headed down to Health Hub to try out hyperbaric oxygen therapy and walked away delighted with the results

In my quest to find relief from the lingering symptoms of potential long Covid and other health issues related to my breathing, I checked out some alternative treatments. One of the choices was hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). In the hopes that this could help with my symptoms, I went along to The Health Hub in Quarriers Village to experience this innovative therapy firsthand.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming member of staff who guided me through the process with care and professionalism. As I entered the hyperbaric chamber, I found it quite calming.

With each breath, I could almost sense my body responding to the effects of the therapy.

After completing the session, I left feeling invigorated and refreshed. While immediate results may vary, I couldn’t deny the subtle yet tangible improvements in my overall well-being. The fatigue that had plagued me seemed to lift and I felt a renewed sense of vitality.

Reflecting on my experience with hyperbaric oxygen therapy at Health Hub, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to explore this type of therapy. While my journey towards recovery from what might be long Covid continues, I am optimistic about the role that HBOT may play in supporting my healing process. As a result, I’d recommend this therapy and the other services the Health Hub provides for those navigating the complexities of post-viral syndromes like long Covid.
